As a long-standing team member, Jessica Ryper consistently delivers high quality outcomes. The Arup Melbourne workplace and Gadens at Collins Arch are among many of her outstanding achievements over the past year. Jessica enjoys collaborating with the team and finding creative solutions – overcoming challenges is what drives her to succeed. As Associate Director, she is excited to broaden her leadership and develop stronger industry relationships.
Will Symons has a proven ability to gain confidence and respect through solid performance and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. His accomplishments have led to significant asset refurbishment opportunities, most recently with APPFC and AMP Capital. His depth of expertise in the commercial sector is also evident in his leadership on SEEKs flagship workplace. Will continues to build rapport with Melbournes leading building owners and expand Montlaurs capabilities.
Specialising in hotel development in his native South Africa, Thomas Hughes embraced the opportunity to deliver the new Victoria Police Centre for Cbus. A complex and challenging project, his dedication and relentless drive has proven to be his most valuable asset. Thomas has capitalised on his government experience and is currently delivering for Court Services Victoria and the Salvation Army. He looks forward to leading the team and securing new project opportunities in the hotel sector.
Kim Malone has dedicated her career at Montlaur to building her reputation within the asset refurbishment sector and gaining respect, not only amongst our team but in the industry. Recent delivery of the Freshwater Place repositioning project and her current leadership on the Melbourne Central tower lobby upgrade are examples of her commitment to excellence and achieving outcomes that the entire team can be proud of. In her new role, Kim looks forward to sharing her knowledge through guiding and mentoring our junior staff.
Tackling the historic Rosella Redevelopment and further expanding our capability within aged care, Alex Strickland is motivated to deliver results. With a strength in new build development, Alex loves the fast pace of client-side project management and the pressure that comes with being the central point of coordination and control. Alex is a passionate role model, with a can-do attitude and is focussed on driving Montlaurs continued growth.
Jenny Liu has been instrumental in the growth of our change management business. In her time at Montlaur, she has built a solid reputation for helping our clients achieve their workplace goals, most recently for nib, MinterEllison and RMIT. She is passionate about understanding organisations, improving workplace culture and overcoming challenges. In her new role as Change Lead for our Sydney office, Jenny is focussed on building the team, increasing our profile and exploring opportunities for integrating project and change management.
Over the past year, Chris Kapetanovski has made significant strides in the Melbourne market. Converting leads and securing new work off the back of our commercial workplace team has seen Chris rapidly expand our change management offering. He is driven by making genuine, organisation-led changes to the way our clients operate, behave and engage with their environment. Chris has built strong relationships with Transurban, 7-Eleven, TelstraSuper and CareSuper and looks forward to taking the business to new heights through sustainable growth.
Senior Project Managers
Lucia Mangion has played a central role in our continued engagement at Melbournes iconic Rialto. Working across a range of capex upgrades and liaising with a multitude of tenants, Lucia’s strength lies in developing and maintaining relationships. She loves the challenge of working within a live environment and furthering her skills in project management, facilities management and tenant management.
Peter Zapantis started his career in aged care development and since joining Montlaur has established his presence in the commercial sector. Delivering workplaces for Transurban, TelstraSuper and SEEK and expanding his capabilities to asset refurbishment projects, Peter is focussed on leaving a long-lasting successful outcome. In his new role, Peter is keen to take on more responsibility within the business.
Katherine Palicki has continued to expand on her government and commercial project expertise this past year through the delivery of Macpherson Kelley Lawyers and the refurbishment of Monbulk College. She has a willingness to go beyond for our clients and push for the best project outcome. Katherine is looking forward to new challenges including managing a small team and taking a more strategic approach to project management.
Building on his experience with large-scale complex projects, Alex Hamilton has enjoyed the recent challenge of working on the new Bendigo Law Courts development. He has excelled on commercial workplaces for REA Group and Reece and played a key role on Vicinity Centres national solar program. Alexs favourite part of project management is watching designs come to life and engaging with like-minded individuals.
Simon Hendon has been influential in the delivery of the new Junior and Middle Schools for Overnewton Anglican Community College. In parallel, he has gained valuable experience on the refurbishment of 1 Spring Street and overseeing the construction of Boschs Clayton office and workshop. Simon thrives on innovation and looks for opportunities to further develop his abilities through strategic, analytical and measured assessment.
Over the past year, Ray Haikal sunk his teeth into the high profile large-scale commercial workplaces for EnergyAustralia and DEDJTR and was quick to establish the respect of the project teams. He takes pride in delivering for our clients and loves what he does – its his biggest driver for success. Ray is looking forward to new and exciting challenges and broadening his experience across all sectors.
