9,600 m² / $8.9 million
Project Management & Superintendent Services

AaE implemented a significant change for its freight operations which has seen the improvement of the sorting and handling process on a national level. It was imperative that all facilities be delivered to exacting standards due to the supporting AaE network infrastructure which included information technology, materials handling systems, aircraft and road vehicles.

Challenges included:

- Integration of internationally constructed materials handling systems. Extensive acceptance testing and commissioning was required before the systems could go live to avoid any impact to business continuity.

- Significant change management processes implemented across the entire business.

- Compliance with local authority requirements, in particular Airport Guidelines, whilst still maintaining adherence to the AaE Brief and Guidelines.

The AaE Domestic Freight Processing Centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane were delivered concurrently and commenced operations in 2008.
