The Royal Children’s Hospital was designed and constructed by Children’s Hospital Partnership (CHP) under a PPP agreement. Montlaur was engaged to represent MCRI’s interests ensuring that CHP delivered in accordance with the brief.
The new facility was designed to be the worlds leading institute for research into children’s health and is a major component of the new Royal Children’s Hospital.
It was Montlaur’s role to ensure MCRI remained 100% operational during the entire process.
Key elements of the project include:
- Research laboratories for 800 staff including wet and dry research.
- Extensive diagnostic area.
- Cool stores, freezers, tissue cultures and micro rooms.
- Corporate and training facilities.
